On the 30th anniversary of publication, this special edition, renewed and enriched with illustrations by Juliet Pomés Leiz, of a gastronomic classic dedicated to the simplest and most successful contribution to Catalan cuisine: bread with tomato. It is not just a short theoretical treatise on its origin and preparation, with priceless humorous touches, but also an incitement to the pleasure of its practice, with 70 succulent recipes that invite you to discover the versatility and exquisiteness of a dish so simple that, in the hands of a gastronome as hedonistic and esthetic as Leopoldo Pomés, it brings us pleasant surprises.



Before, long before cooking and cooking became the current phenomenon, the first edition of this book became an absolute success. Pomés, with this book, turned the most popular and representative dish of Catalan cuisine into haute gastronomy by dedicating a whole treatise to it, apart from a complete recipe book.
