Nani Marquina founded the nanimarquina brand in 1987 as a brand dedicated to the creation, production and distribution of rugs and home textiles. After studying industrial design at the Massana School in Barcelona and experiencing the success of his first personalized textile designs, he decided to enter the world of industrial design, despite the uncertainties of the time. With a clear vision and trusting in the potential of her creations, she established her own company based on values such as observation, innovation, emotions and the fusion between artisan tradition and contemporaneity.

Since its inception, Nani Marquina has placed special emphasis on research into materials and manufacturing processes, which has enriched the aesthetics of its designs and has been key to the brand's commercial success. In addition, she was a pioneer in incorporating collections from internationally recognized designers into her catalogue, thus becoming the first textile design editor to opt for designer rugs. In 1993, Nani Marquina took a bold step by moving part of its production to northern India, integrating craftsmanship and tradition as differentiating elements in its designs. This new perspective marked a milestone for the brand, exploring new forms of production through artisanal practices that gave a unique character to her creations.

Over time, the second generation of the family joined the management of the company in 2002, consolidating its growth and expansion internationally. Nanimarquina products have received international recognition, including the National Design Award and the Cambra Award for Business Management. Nani Marquina herself has been awarded several awards for her contribution to the world of design and female entrepreneurship. In addition, Nani Marquina has held prominent positions in professional design associations and has been recognized for her leadership in various organizations in the sector. In recent years, she has resumed her creative passion as head of the nanimarquina design team, developing innovative projects such as the successful Tres collection that has marked a before and after in the history of the brand.
