The Kpax Bag by Peter & Wolf BCN revives one of the most representative objects of Mediterranean culture: the traditional esparto basket. For generations, these large woven baskets were used to carry agricultural products, food and everyday objects, eventually becoming a true symbol of Mediterranean summers.
Its spaciousness, durability and lightness made the basket an inseparable companion at markets, coastal villages, beaches and summer getaways. The Kpax model preserves this practical essence while transforming it through a structured, contemporary design with a strong architectural character.
Peter & Wolf BCN starts with the characteristic open silhouette of the traditional basket and gives it a completely renewed form. The handle attachments have been designed to create defined edges that contrast with the smooth curves at each end.
This interplay of curved and angular lines evokes the organic language of Antoni Gaudí’s architecture, where structure, nature and ornament form part of a unified composition.
The result is a visually striking bag with a sculptural shape that stands out without compromising functionality. Its handles, leather details and exterior strap create colour contrasts that enhance the unique character of each combination.
With an approximate capacity of 19 litres, the Kpax Bag provides enough space to carry everything needed for a full day. It can be used as a beach bag, shopping basket, travel bag or spacious everyday accessory.
Its upper opening measures approximately 60 cm in length, while the compact 25 × 15 cm base provides stability and helps the bag retain its shape. Its 30 cm height allows larger items to be carried without making the bag feel heavy or uncomfortable.
The bag features a practical magnetic closure for easy opening and closing, together with an exterior leather strap that provides additional support and helps keep its contents protected.
The two long leather handles measure 80 cm, allowing the bag to be carried comfortably over the shoulder. Their 1.5 cm width provides an elegant and lightweight grip suitable for both short trips and longer days out.
Unlike traditional baskets, the Kpax Bag features a fully lined black twill interior, which protects personal belongings and gives the bag a more refined finish.
Inside, there is a zipped side pocket that is ideal for storing keys, a phone, a wallet or other small items. On the opposite side, a double open pocket keeps accessories organised and easily accessible.
The exterior is made from esparto grass, a natural material traditionally valued for its lightness, flexibility and durability. The interior lining combines 65% cotton and 35% polyester, while the handles and other details are made from cowhide leather.
