Description
The production of the Catalan Armchair is handmade. Formed by a solid oak wood structure. Set finished with water-based varnish, uncolored to preserve the natural color of the wood. The procedure is scrubbing and polishing, two background coats with a scrubbing between them and a final coat of water-based varnish. With this we preserve the seat from the action of atmospheric agents, also gaining physical and chemical resistance. Woven seat with paper rope with grid design.


CATALAN ARMCHAIR
Germán Rodríguez Arias designed the Catalan Armchair in 1942 and Mobles 114 has reissued it, meticulously respecting the original design. The architect and designer met Pablo Neruda, with whom he maintained a great friendship. The Catalan Armchair was part of the furniture he designed for Illa Negra, one of the poet's houses, taking inspiration from traditional Catalan armchairs.
